I am really late to the party, but I feel like this is something I have to post. Basically, it is the moon passing in front of the Earth, which is awesome! The pictures were taken by a spacecraft named EPOXI, which was used to smash an object on a comet and study it. The video below is from the badastronomy blog, which I suggest anyone to go. It is incredible how much science and technology has advanced, enough to see our own planet with its satellite revolving it. Anyways, enjoy!
